What is e-GRAS ?
e-GRAS (electronic government receipts accounting system) means on line application to deposit all type of Rajasthan
State government receipts using this website.
Who can use this website?
Any user, who has to deposit government receipts, can use this facility. The user may be single person, name of association,entity, government/semi government units, departments etc.
What type of users count to website ?
To facility this website, there are two types of users namely-
1. Non Registered users
2. Registered users
Why should I register?
1. Ease of operation and convenience
2. Facility is available on 24x7 basis
3. One can deposit on behalf of the firm, company and others
4. On-line payment of taxes (No more queues and waiting)
5. On-line Filling of single challan form minimum fields of the challan need to be filled. Most of the fields are populated automatically.
What is to be done to display the records on screen if records exceed (>10) maximum no. of records ?
You can use “Search Option” given in your login screen and get any number of records by selecting the specific time period.
What all points are to be take care while preparing challan through eGRAS ?
1: Use of special characters should be avoided.
2: Don’t use separators like “,” , or ‘-‘ etc.
3: Fill values for all mandatory fields.
4: Check all values before finishing the process.
Can I use the previously entered information ?
Yes, you can use it by using the “Repeat’’ option given in your login screen.
Can I get a list of all transaction generated through eGRAS ?
Yes, you can get it by using the search option with a specific time period.
What should I do to get smooth services on eGRAS ?
1: Update your account profile with the latest information.
2: Change your password frequently.
3: Use your own user ID on eGRAS instead of using Guest Account.
How can I change my password ?
First login and then select the “Change Password” option under the menu “Account.”
What information should I supply to raise a query about my transaction ?
Always supply GRN number and Bank name to initiate queries about the transactions made through eGRAS.
Which fields make the transaction unique at eGRAS site ?
GRN, CIN and Challan numbers are the fields which make the transaction unique at eGRAS.

What is the difference between two types of users?
A registered user have his own profile and he have to facility to access/view his previous truncations, but non registered user
can’t use this type of facilities.
What will be process to use e-GRAS ?
For this purpose, the users have to login to website.
Step 1: The non registered user( or new user ) can login to
User Name – guest
Password - guest
Step 2: If any user want to became registered user, then he should use “New user/sign up” from website. A new login window will be open, when users click on. Users have to fill up all the mandatory fields.

Whether it is mandatory to deposit government receipts through this website ?
It is optional from 01 -12-2012 to 31-03-2013 but after that it is mandatory to use this website.

How do I know whether my bank provide this facility ?
The list of banks providing this facility is available on website user guide Alternatively you may get the information from your bank.
How can I generate a Challan from eGRAS ?
A: If you are using eGRAS, first time then : 1. Open the site
2. Select “New User Sign Up” option from the right bottom side of window.
3. Fill the form to create user ID and Password for eGRAS.
4. Login by providing user ID and Password
5. Click on the ‘Create Profile’ link to generate payment profile.
6. Select Department,Major Head and detailed head.
7. Click on the >> button to add the selected head/heads on the right side box.
8. Enter Profile Name
9. Click on the “Submit” button
10. Click on ‘Home’ Menu.
11. Select profile from the list.
12. Click on the “Continue” button.
13. Fill the challan with adequate information.
14. Click on the submit button.

1 Login on eGRAS.
2 Select your profile from the list.
3 Follow the process given in the above (A) Option (12 to 14)
can I get extra copy of challan generated on eGRAS ?
You can get extra copies from your account on eGRAS by clicking on view/Pdf option.
Can I use any excel/word file to attach extra details with a transaction ?
No. But you can create a new list in excel format by clicking on “Add more details” option.
For next time you can use ‘Repeat’ option to retrieve the previous records.
Can I make payment for the years which are not included/displayed in the list of financial year in eGRAS ?
Yes, you can make payment for such years by selecting the option ‘One Time’ given in the list of financial year.
What if any payment is successful on eGRAS but not updated on rajtax ?
To update the same, open the rajtax. gov.in site and use “eGRAS payment verification” option and supply the necessary information.
How to generate ‘minus’ expenditures challans ?
You can get user ID and password from your Head of Department (HoD) to generate challan of ‘minus’ expenditure heads.

What is the procedure after being directed to the net banking site of the bank?
eChallan system will direct you to net-banking facility of your bank. You will have to log on to the net banking site of your bank using your login ID and password provided by the bank.
It is similar to booking tickets or making payments online. All types of government receipts can be paid through internet, using net banking facility.
What will happen after I confirm the deposit of government receipt at my bank's site?
What is the timing for making payment through internet?
Your bank will process the transaction online by debiting the bank account indicated by you and generate a printable acknowledgment/eChallan with the Bank Challans Identification Number (Bank CIN).
You will have to check the net-banking web page of your bank's website for this information.
If I encounter any problem while making payment through internet whom should I contact?
If any problem encountered at the eChallan website while entering non-financial data then contact e-Treasury Officer, at ---------------------- or write to us at

How does the new system benefit me?
The new system is of great benefit to the common user. Now a single simplified Challans has to be filled up replacing the complicated three-copy Challans. This Challans can be filled up much faster. Secondly, it will be possible to obtain an acknowledgement for government receipts at your the Government site immediately. Further, once you have the Challans copy with the Government Reference Number (GRN) and you have reconciliation work much fast, errorless and with more flexible facilities.
What if I am not being redirected to bank’s site to make online payment after submitting the challan form generated from eGRAS site ?
Check your challan details again, and fill values for all mandatory fields.
And if the problem still exists, contact to e-Treasury/Banks for the same.
Which banks are authorized to make payment from eGRAS ?
Only authorized banks are given in list of banks on eGRAS.
What if I don’t get electronic receipt after e-payment ?
If you don’t get it at the time of payment confirmation then check it again on the bank website.
If you still do not get it then contact to the concern person of bank.

What is Government Revenue Number (GRN) and what is its relevance?
GRN is generated on the Challan to uniquely identify the government receipt. GRN is also to be quoted in any further enquiry. Therefore, you must ensure that 18 digit GRN generated is properly noted and saved.
A separate Bank CIN (Challan Identification Number) is generated for each eChallan paid online.
How secure is the transmission of data to the website for e- payment?
After depositing the Challans at the bank, I have noticed that I have mentioned wrong information in Challans How do I get this incorporated in my Challans information?
All transmission through this website is encrypted and is with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) authentication. With respect to the banks, it depends on the security measures provided by the bank for net banking. You should approach e-Treasury Officer. The complete details of e-Treasury Officer is----------
Can I combine the two or more than two Challans in one e- challan?
Yes
How can I retrieve my password in case of forget password ?
Follow the Steps :-
1: Select the “forgot password” link given in the home page of eGRAS site.
2: Provide your user ID of eGRAS for which you want to retrieve your password.
3: Arrange the alphabets in order by dragging and dropping through mouse.
4: Click on the “submit” Button.
5: Click on the “Continue” Button. This will send a code on your mobile.
6: Enter the code into verification box which is sent on your mobile.
7: Click on the “Continue” Button to process further.
8: Enter your new Password.
9: And confirm your new password again.
10: Click on the “Reset Password”.
